OUR STORY
Hotel Alexander
1960
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Hotel Alexander will take place on December 10th. The developers and first owners are Charles and Anna Hasler-Jüsten.
1961
At the end of June, after only six months of construction, the first guests will move in.
1962
The new hotel will officially open on May 26th. This medium-sized first-class hotel has approximately 80 beds in 47 rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and balconies overlooking the lake. It is built according to the latest principles and furnished in a 1960s style.
1969
After marrying Vreny Reis, the son, Hans Hasler-Reis, took over the hotel business. In 1969, a large conference hall was added to extend the season through seminar tourism.
1971
1976: Construction of a new hotel bar next to the hotel lobby. A heated swimming pool was built in the garden.
1977
Construction and expansion of 8 rooms and the owner's apartment. 1980. After all rooms were renovated and equipped with radio, telephone and television over the years, a fire protection system was installed. Approximately every 5 years, the rooms, lobby, bar, reception, dining room and facade underwent complete renovation.
2003
New construction of the Vitalis wellness center together with the Hotel Gerbi.
2005
Christian and Petra Hasler-Steinberger take over the Hotel Alexander from their parents and are hosts together with their children Lukas, Lisa and Fabian.
2006
The hotel bar is being redesigned.
2008
The 50-year-old kitchen is undergoing a complete renovation. Appliances, tiles, cold storage rooms – everything is being replaced.
The hotel lobby and reception area are being renovated.
2009
The restaurant is being completely redesigned.
2015
A major renovation is underway. The outdoor pool will be moved to the west side and connected to the Vitalis Spa. A large conference and banquet hall with seating for up to 140 people will be added, and the terrace will triple in size.
2016
The gym is being re-equipped.
2023
Renovation of the ground floor with bar, reception, restaurant & wine cellar. Also, extension of the Liecht restaurant.
2025
Add serviced apartments & renovate outdoor pool
Hotel Gerbi
1979
Purchase of the Gerbi property by Hans and Vreny Hasler-Reis. The old residential building, dating from 1795, as well as the annex which housed a tannery, were unfortunately in very poor condition, so the idea of converting it into a hotel had to give way to a new building.
1985
Demolition of the old building and start of construction of the new tannery.
1987
The 4-star Hotel Gerbi will open on June 25th. Built in the style of a former country house, it houses 18 rooms, 4 junior suites with kitchenettes, and four maisonette apartments with multiple rooms and a kitchen. A rustic yet elegant interior characterizes the hotel's ambiance, evoking its former country house origins.
1989
After only one year of operation, the first renovation is already necessary. Two ground-floor rooms are being converted into a small hall for conferences and banquets. In 2003, the Vitalis wellness center was built together with the Hotel Alexander.
2005
Mischa and Dagmar Hasler-Aasman are taking over the Hotel Gerbi from their parents and are hosting guests together with their daughters Céline, Catherine and Caroline.
2007–2010
All rooms, the restaurant, and the hotel lobby are being renovated and refurnished. In 2011, the conference hall is being remodeled, creating the cozy bistro-restaurant "Gerberei." At the same time, the restaurant terrace is being enlarged.
2016
The forecourt and garden are being redesigned, giving the hotel a new, modern appearance.
Hotel Seeblick (formerly Baumen)
The history of the hotels began on the Baumen farm over 100 years ago. As the family grew, so did our hotels.
